So, mom has arrived and we got our visit off to a great start. Yesterday we set off with a group of friends on an all day journey to see the snow monkeys. It was a long drive, but well worth it. There are approximately 300 monkeys in the park according to Pish our guide. They were everywhere and playing and bathing in the hot springs and having a good ole time. It was awesome!

Daniel, sorry to just now be righting back, but the snow monkeys are in Shiga Kogen (spelling might be a bit off), but it's near Nagano. It's quite a trek from Tokyo, but was well worth it.
